COMET connects and amplifies the people and organizations collectively building a robust physician workforce for rural and underserved communities across California and Oregon — advancing health equity together.
Our Vision
A future where every rural and underserved community across California and Oregon has a strong, sustainable physician workforce — built by passionate people and organizations working across sectors, without silos, toward health equity for all.
Our Objectives

Build connection infrastructure
Create and sustain the networks, communication channels, and shared spaces that allow health workforce leaders, educators, and clinicians to find and learn from each other.

Expand access to clinical training opportunities
Develop centralized, accessible tools that make it easier for students to find rural and underserved rotations, for preceptors to host learners, and for training sites to participate.

Accelerate local workforce pathways
Support communities in building replicable, sustainable health career pathways that inspire and recruit local students and keep them connected to their community every step of their training.
